David Scarlatescu has called Vernon home since he was eight years old. This is the city that raised him. He grew up here,
built a life, and started a family of his own. At nineteen, he bought The Fig, a small restaurant in the heart of downtown,
and has spent the years since building it into a fixture of the community he loves. Alongside running The Fig,
David also co-operates Millennium Valley Productions, a local film company.
David has spent years showing up for Vernon, delivering meals to homebound seniors, feeding evacuees and
firefighters during wildfire season, and supporting the local causes that keep this city strong. He's
running for City Council because he believes in walking the walk: showing up for Vernon the same way it's shown up for him.
He wants to bring a practical, accessible voice to City Hall, focused on a strong local economy, smart growth,
and making sure the next generation has real reasons to build their lives here.
